 Now we can also select things that are connected. So if I were to select the side of this roof, and go into Select, Connected Faces, that will select all faces that are connected. So that includes this wall, the side of the chimney, as well as the other part of the roof. Now this can make things easier to select. So for example, let"s say I was in here, and I wanted to select all of this edging. I can right click and do Select, Connected Faces. And now I get all of these inside edges. If I were to do this again, right click, Select, Connected Faces, you could see that it"s growing those selections. This is a great way to select things that are kind of out of the way and a little bit hard to select. Now another way to select faces is to select by materials. So I"m going to go ahead and turn on materials here. I"m going to go into View, Face Style, Shaded With Textures. And let"s say I wanted to select anything that was glass. So I will click on one of these faces here, such as the glass here. And I can right click over that, and do Select, All With the Same Material. And when I do it selects anything that has that glass material applied to it. Now if I were to select the wall of this building, and again, right click, I could do Select, All with same Material, and it will select anything that has that blue paint on it. And again, I can do this here with this wall, which is a wood texture, and again, All with same Material. It selects anything that has that wood texture. So these are some great tools that allow you to select faces and edges by how they"re connected or by what material they have. So go ahead and use these tools because we"ll be doing this a lot as we model.
