So remember how we did these doors, well the doors are actually assemblies of multiple objects. So if I were to double click on this, you can see that I can select this one or this one here. So this group here is basically a group that holds other groups. And I can also double click here to get into each one of these. Now if I were to select this entire refrigerator, right click, and group it, you"ll see that I get a blank group here in my Outliner. Now by default, groups are named Group. And it"s really just a default name, if we want to give this a more descriptive name we can right click and go Rename, and I can call this, say, refrigerator. And now when I select that refrigerator it shows up in my Outliner. Now I could do the same thing for the stove as well, I can select multiple components here, right click, go Make Group, and again right click here, Rename, let me call this Stove. Now the stove is actually a group that contains components, and Refrigerator is a group that contains groups but they"re basically both groups. And we can see how we can organize our scene a lot more effectively. We have actual hierarchies of organization here. So I"ve got my doors which are a child of the refrigerator itself. So hopefully this gives you a good overview of the Outliner, and gives you some ideas as to ways to organize your scenes by grouping as well as naming schemes.
